Celebrating the deep seeded connection between piping and the gaelic language this evening concert features some of the most exciting up and coming Gaelic artists.
Darren MacLean who studied at the RSAMD won a Gold Medal at the 2003 National Mod and has also been nominated for two awards at the Scots Trad Music awards, Up and Coming Artist of the year award (2005) and Gaelic Singer of the year award (2010).
The Angus Nicolson Trio inclueds Angus Nicolson on Highland and Border Pipes and Whistles, Andrew MacPherson on Bodhran & Whistles, and Murdo Cameron and Guitar and Accordian. Together the make up an exciting and rousing trio.
The Mischa Macpherson Trio is made up of Mischa MacPherson (song & clarsach), Innes White (guitar) and Conal McDonagh (pipes & whistles) all of whom hail from the beautiful Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The trio have recently won the BBC 2 Young Folk Award 2014 and are a stunning new band to look out for.
